Michal Varod's garden is a live museum of her dozens of
ceramic human sculptures. Some climb on ropes to the
branches of the Ficus tree. One of them is resting on a swing.
This is a very pleasent Shabbat-rest.

נכון, האביב מגיע בכל שנה פחות או יותר באותו הזמן, אבל עבורנו האביב הוא

לא אביב, אם המדבר אינו פורח. השנה התחיל החורף בקול ענות חלושה, וגשם

כמעט ולא ירד אצלנו. הפריחה איחרה מאד לבוא. לבסוף, בשבועות האחרונים, הגיע

הגשם גם אלינו בכמות מספקת לנביטה של החד-שנתיים, ולתחילת מהלך מזורז

של צמיחה ופריחה. צריך להספיק לייצר זרעים לפני שיבוא החום הגדול! בתמונה

True, Spring comes anyway, but withou flowers you can't call

it Spring. Finally, after a very disappointing Winter, we got in

the beginning of March some real rains, and even floods. The

desert plants hurry up, seeds germinate, and flowers come in

a fewe weeks - to be able to complete the cycle with seeds before

the really hot days come.

Storks in Ein-Gedi skies - חסידות בשמי עין-גדי

תנועת החסידות (ויז'ניץ? גור? חב"ד?) מפגינה נוכחות בעין-גדי פעמיים בשנה

באביב ובסתיו. חסידות נודדות כעת צפונה, בחזרה אל אזורי הקינון שלהם, בהם

ישהו כל הקיץ. בסתיו ישובו ויעופו מעלינו בדרכן דרומה. צילום: רעות יערן

Storks are only passing-by, on their migration route between

North (Europe) and South (Africa). When Spring comes - the

Storks, along with many other migrating birds, fly above us on

their way to the North, back to their Summer nesting places.
