The Animal Corner of the Kibbutz פינת החי בקיבוץ

פינת החי - פעם אתר פעילות חינוכי לילדי הקיבוץ, וכיום גם

מוקד משיכה לתיירים ולאורחי בית-ההארחה שלנו. את העיזים

החביבות צילמה סיני, עוד חברה בחוג הצלמים של ביה"ס

היסודי. כשהנמר אינו מסתובב בשטח - בסך הכל טוב להן לעיזים

This small zoo was established years ago for the

Kibbutz young kids, where they learned about

the life and habbits of different animals, and also

how to take care of them. Today this places attracts

also the many visitors of the Guest house and of the

garden. The picture was taken by Sinai, another

member of the Elementary school photography club.

בימי שישי מתקימים בבית הספר היסודי בעין-גדי חוגי פעילות אזורית

וביניהם - חוג לצילום דיגיטלי. ילדים צעירים מפעילים את המצלמות

המשפחתיות ומתנסים בעיבוד התמונות. התוצאות יפות מאד. מדריכת החוג

On Fridays the elementary school in Ein Gedi runs activity

classes for the region's kids. One of the clubs is dealing with

digital photograpy. Young kids create very pretty pictures.

The club's teacher is Tami Me'iri. The young photographer

is Dana Moshe.

Sunrise behind clouds זריחה מבין העננים

באזור ים המלח השקיעות אינן כה מרשימות, שכן השמש נעלמת

מאחורי ההרים הרבה לפני שעת השקיעה והחושך. הזריחות, לעומת

זאת, הן חוויה מיוחדת, ובעיקר בבקרים המעוננים של הסתיו והחורף

Sunsets are not so impressing in the Dead Sea area. The

sun disappears behind the mountains long before it gets

really dark. But sunrises are really something - especially

on clouded mornings of Autumn and Winter.

הכוכב הריחני מתעורר לקראת החורף Asteriscus Graveolens : The fragrant star

הכוכב הריחני הוא צמח בר של מדבר יהודה. מריחו העדין, המזכיר

את ריח האפרסק, אפשר ליהנות בחודשי החורף. הכוכב הריחני נובט

ומפתח שיח קטן לאחר רדת הגשמים הראשונים, ואם יורד הרבה גשם

הוא מפתח נוף סבוך וגדול. העלים טובים לחליטת תה נהדר. עם בוא העונה

החמה - מתייבש הכוכב. שיחים מפותחים, ששורשיהם מגיעים למעט לחות

גם בעונת הקיץ, וזה קורה בגומחות סלע מוצלות, יחזיקו מעמד במצב

יבש עד לעונה הבאה, והם יוציאו עלים טריים מתוך הענפים המבוגרים. סביב

השיח היבש ינבטו זרעים שנשרו ממנו בעונה שעברה. הפרחים הצהובים

יושבים בצמתי הענפים, והם מוסיפים חן לצמח האהוב הזה

This plant grows in the nature of the Judean desert.

After the first rains seeds sprout, and older bushes

that have survived the hot summer nake new leaves.

The fresh leaves have a wonderful smell, and they make

one of the most delicious drinks. When the hot season

comes - most of the plants dry and die, while few that

luckily grow in the shade among rocks, where some

humidity is kept - survive the summer, and make

new leaves for the winter.

The Date's infloresence פריחת התמר

פריחת התמרים אינה נראית מרשימה מרחוק. כפרחים המואבקים על ידי

הרוח אין להם צורך להיות גדולים, ריחניים או צבעוניים. במבט מקרוב

יש בהחלט ממה להתלהב: אלפי פרחים זעירים שיהפכו תוך

The flowers of the Dates are not very impressing

from a far distance, but when you look closer -

this is what you see. The Dates' flowers are pollinated

by the wind, so they do not need to attract insects
