מגיעות לבלות בחוות הסוסים ונהנות מעבודה בעלי התמר. יוצרים ציפורים

ודגים, סימניות וצמידים - להנאת הכל
Yaeli Gal, who runs activities in Beit Hatamar of Ein-Gedi,

is invited to spend a Shabbat morning with the people of

Kibbutz Yotvata in the Arava valley. Young families come

to experience creating simple things with the young leaves

of the date-palm: bracelets, book-signs,birds and fish.

שנת הפעילות של נוער עין-גדי במסגרת תנועת-הנוער החלה בטקס
חביב ועליז. הנוער השקיע בהכנת הטקס ימים רבים, ובין האטרקציות
המסורתיות שחזרו והרשימו - כתובות אש. השתיים הנראות בתמונה
אומרות: 'עין-גדי - קיבוץ קטן, משמעות גדולה' וסמל תנועת המרכז

The picture is not so easy to explain: Every year, around
October-November, the youth-movements in Israel celebrate
the beginning of the year's activity in a traditional event,
usually culminating in a show of fire. The kids work hours
preparing writings made of metal-wire covered by burlap
and soaked with petrol. Lighting a good looking writing is
a challenge, and when it works - everyone's happy.

Watr in the desert - מים במדבר

בריכת מים בנחל צפית העליון, דרום מדבר יהודה. הבריכה ניזונה מנביעה
קטנה של מי עין-צפית, מעין שזרימת המים ממנו אינה נראית, ואשר פרט
לבריכה אין אפילו פלג קטן זורם ממנה במורד הוואדי. צמחיית נחלים
אופיינית כמו קנה מקשטת את הבריכה הקטנה, המספקת מי שתייה לעדרי
צאן של הבדווים בסביבה השוממה הזאת
A water pool in Upper Nachal Tzafit, Southern Judean
Desert. It is not water from last year's floods, but a tiny
active spring, that provide enough water for this pool
only. No running water is seen under the pool. There are
signs of sheep or goat flocks that visit this place occasionly
- with the Beduins who live in this desolate part of the desert.
