A black stork that came to us from the North with the big

Autumn birds migration, landed by accident on the shore

of the Dead Sea, in hope to find there sweet drinking water.

Dozens of storks like her died last week in the South of the

Dead Sea shore, and the nature reserve authrity rangers were

Nachal Arugot on Summer - נחל ערוגות בקיץ

בקיץ קטן מאד מספר המטיילים בנחל. החום כבד מאד, והחוויה יכולה להיות

מתישה. המטיילים המעטים מתרכזים בנקודות בהן ניתן לטבול במים הצוננים, ואחת

האהובות ביותר היא המפל הנסתר. בתמונה קבוצת נוער מדנמרק ברגע

נינוח ורגוע בצל הסלעים. מדי פעם נכנסים למים להצטנן וחוזרים אל הצל

Nachal Arugot is very hot in August. The very few visitors

that dare to enter stop at the spots where it is possible

to plunge into the cool water and refresh the heated body.

Mud sinkholes create lagunas - בולענים בבוץ יוצרים לגונה

לא רחוק ממפגש כביש 90 עם הכביש העולה לקיבוץ - סדרה של בולענים

שנוצרו באדמה הרכה והבוצית שלחוף ים-המלח. הבולענים מעמיקים בהדרגה

כשהם פתוחים כלפי מעלה כל העת, בניגוד לבולענים הנוצרים בקרקע יותר

סלעית. בולענים הנוצרים קרוב מאד לשפת הים - מתמלאים במי תהום מלוחים

Not far from the Kibbutz - the shore of the Dead-Sea is

soft and muddy. Sinkoles that are created here sink and

deepen gradually, unlike those which are created in a rocky

ground, where usually they widen and deepen under the

ground, untill their ceiling collapse. Sinkholes that are very

close to the seashore fill up with underground salty water,

and create a very impressive landscape.

Yoske & Rochik Er'eli, senior citizens of Ein-Gedi, at a visit

of the Tamar regional council delegation to Bad-Kisingen,

Germany. Yoske was born in this town, and has initiated the

friendship relations between the town and Tamar. At any

visit to Bad Kisingen that Yoske participates in - he becomes

the guest of honour.
