Nachal Chever Flood שיטפון בנחל חבר

לאחר למעלה מחודש (נובמבר-דצמבר) של יובש מוחלט, חוזר אלינו

החורף. הרבה גשם טוב על המדבר, וקצת שיטפונות החוסמים את

Not much of a Winter until this week, and then - snow in

Jerusalem, a good rain over the desert, and some floods

blocking our roads for a few hours. Sigal Wanger took this

picture showing the work done by tractors to clear the road

and open it for transportation.

Salt formations on the beach תצורות מלח על החוף

אל חוף הים כדאי לרדת פעמיים או שלוש בשנה: המראות משתנים

The Dead Sea beach is changing from season to

season: Salt formations on rocks, pebbles or on dead

branches are melting or disintegrating to crumbs.

Mud layers that are exposed as a result of the lake's

shrinking - will look different when they get drier.

What you see today may vanish until next time -

In Winter the air is cleaner, and the sandstone mountains

of Moav on the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea get a reddish

color. Every evening it is a little dufferent.
