ובאו לחגוג עם החניכים החדשים של המכינה הקדם-צבאית

A few minutes before sunrise the new students of the educational

program "Melach Ha'aretz" arrive at the Kibbutz swimming pool

after 2 days of hiking in the Judean Desert. This is the traditional

opening of the new year's program. The students, 2 months after

 finishing high school, will spend a 10 months program preparing

them to the army service and to the life of an adult citizen of Israel.

No, this is not Ein-Gedi nature reserve. It's the central lawn

of our hotel. A group of male ibex is penetrating the Kibbutz

every day for food. No fear, no shame! The gardeners are

frustrated. The tourists and hotel guest take the opportunity
