מערת המטמון בנחל משמר, שנחשפו ע"י המשלחת בראשותו של פסח בר-אדון - מיוחסים

למקדש עין-גדי. מה גרם לאנשי עין-גדי לנטוש את בתיהם ולהטמין את אוצרות המקדש

A look towards the South - to the Kibbutz, from the ancient temple

of Ein-Gedi. This temple was active, according to the archeologists,

in the chalcolitic time - and not much is known about where the

people who visited the temple lived. Not many findings were

discovered here, but the wonderful objects that where found

in the treasure cave of Nachal Mishmar are, probably,

from this temple. It is still a mystery why Ein-Gedi people

took the temple's treasures all the way to hide them in

Nachl Mishmar.

Chavar Formations - תצורות חוואר

The Chavar formations in Nachal Ze'elim area are not

much visited, since nearby you can enjoy the simillar,

and a little more impressive area near Massada, but

The Busy Bird - הציפור העסוקה

An enlarged replica of the miniature sculpture - 'The busy bird',

is now decorating the panoramic trail viewing the landscapes

of Nachal Arugot, near the guest-house. The original bird was made

by our friend and member of the Kibbutz, Zeevik Rozenboim, who

died two years ago. The replica was prepared by the family's friend,

Asteriscus hierochunticus

Not long ago - rains brought enough water to let the plant's

seeds germinate. The plant has to be very quick in growing

leaves and flowers and produce fertile seeds to be completed
