Childrens' day is a very popukar event, celebrated every year

in Chanuka. Ein-Gedi members invite their children and

grandchildren to visit Ein-Gedi on that day, dedicated to the

memory of our member Mani Cohen. In the picture - Noy

Chanuka on the mountain - במעלה הר צרויה

חניכי המכינה הקדם-צבאית מטפסים במעלה הר צרויה להדליק נר שישי
בחנוכיית הענק שבמחצית הגובה של ההר. מדי יום עולה קבוצת נערים
אחרת לקיים את המצווה. אורות לפידי הענק של החנוכיה נראים היטב

Evey day of Chanuka another group of youngsters climb
Mt. Tzruya to light the giant Menora, about 150 meters
above the Kibbutz. The lights are seen clearly from the
Kibbutz. This custom is now about 30 tears old, and the
Kibbutz kids and youngsters are very eager to take part
in it.

Playing with mud - משחקים בבוץ

בית התמר מארח סדנה לקליעה בעלי התמר ולבנייה בבוץ. הפעם - מחדשים
את המטבח של בית-התמר ובונים טאבונים חדשים מבוץ מקומי. את הבוץ

Beit Hatamar hosts a workshop dedicated to date-palm keaves
basketry and to building with mud. This time the participants
help rebuilding the mud-stoces of the kitchen: clay-soil is
brought, water is poured, and the bare-foot dance begins!
