The Capparis decidua, a close relative of the Caper, has almost

disappeared from our region. Plants where brought to Ein-Gedi

from the Eastern shore of the Dead-Sea, where it still grows in

the nature. It was planted in the site of the ancient Ein-Gedi

synagougue, where it blooms beautifully now, in March.
